Laurel Run Park In Church Hill TN is a family owned and operated park. The two-acre land of the park was donated to the city of Church Hill by Bert Owens in 2010, who is also one of the founders of Laurel Run Park.
The park contains playgrounds, picnic tables, pavilions, walking trails etc. There are no admission charges for visitors except on some special occasions like Easter Egg Hunt . Entrance fee is collected only if people join in any sports or other events that are conducted at the venue. All activities conducted here are open to public without any charge or membership fees.
There are several things to do in Laurel Run Park In Church Hill TN. They include:
• Fishing (license not required).
• Hiking (walking) trails.
• Picnic tables.
• Playgrounds for children of all ages.
• Pavilions.
• Walking trail around the park.
• Basketball court in front of main pavilion with picnic tables and playgrounds which are available for family gatherings, parties, reunions etc.
The park is open to public from dawn to dusk throughout the week. However, visitors should come prepared for harsh weather conditions including high winds, thunderstorms etc. Dress according to the weather condition and be careful while walking on trails because they are not well-lit at night. The park gate is closed after dark but if visitors need assistance they can knock on Bert's home which is within one hundred feet of the gate.
During special occasions like Easter egg hunts or Christmas events, gates remain open until late hours in the evening. This special treatment is only extended to children accompanied by an adult from their family or a family friend who has been cleared beforehand by park management.
